Get Moving Cochrane - Program Launch

Greetings!

It's with excitement that we launch Get Moving Cochrane, a Dance Sponsorship Pilot Project. Snap Dance Studios has come together with The Boys and Girls Club of Cochrane & Area and Canadian Tire Jumpstart to offer underprivileged youth the chance to dance. This Pilot Project runs until May 2012, and offers 20 dancers fully subsidized sessional dance lessons at Snap Dance Studios.

Snap is thrilled to offer this program and to give back to youth in our community. We are running this Pilot Project in hopes of having a more extensive, permanent program in the future. Program details are attached below. Please help us spread the word and pass on this information.

Whipper Snapper Award: December

Ladies and Gentlemen...introducing our Whipper Snapper Awards for December!

Every so often, each teacher at Snap gets to recognize one student that’s going above and beyond in their classes. The Whipper Snapper Award is based on attitude, effort and passion for dance.

Snappy New Floors!

New floors have been laid in both studios. We bet your dancer’s tights are excited to not get chewed up! These floors are in part being paid for by:

Snap Parents Association – group funds that were raised through flower sales, the year end BBQ etc. Thanks to all Parents Association members and volunteers for their time and support!

5678 Competition Scholarship – congratulations to the following dancers who raised $1250 towards the floor:

-Ready Or Not – Overall High Score of the Competition

-Dance Little Sister, Itty Bitty, Together – High Score Duo/Trio (12 and under)

-Vivaldi’s Colors, We No Speak and Ready Or Not – High Score Groups (12 and under)

WEDS, JAN 18, 2012 - CLASS CANCELLATION

As per Snap policies (listed here: http://www.snapdancestudios.com/about-policies.html) when Cochrane Schools are closed, dance will be canceled.

Classes will be cancelled on WEDS, JAN 18, 2012 due to the cold weather and school closures. STAY WARM!
